I am going to be as precise as I can in writing down my family tree, as I have known it over the years.
Starting on my Father's side. I can't go back any further than him. I can't find out his mother's or father's names, I don't know if he had any siblings. On the Gahagan side of the equation, it stops there.
On my mother's side of the equation I can add a little more information.
Grandparents were: Frances Minta Joseph Freitis
They had five Daughters: Evelyn, Frances, Minnie, Rose, and Marie.
Minnie Freitis married Michael Capelety
They had one daughter: Francine Capelety
Rose Freitis married Paul Leal:
They had two daughters: Betty, Nancy.
Evelyn and Marie never married:

This is where the NAME changes. The hospital clerk typed the incorrect name on my birth certificate, thus adding the extra H on the end of the name Gahagan; sarting a new branch on the family tree: GAHAGHAN
My brother Albert Joseph Gahagan never married. He contracted Polio when he was around 11 or 12, and fought a crippling condition all his life. At present he still lives in a nursing home in Willows, California
Now for the new side of the family tree:
My brother and I were born in Hayward, California. We were raised in San Leandro, California.
I graduated from San Leandro High School, in 1951
I entered the U.S. Marine Corp in June of 1952.
While in the Marine Corp. , I married Muriel Dorthea Banks in 1955.
I was discharged from the Marine Corp in 1961, and went to work for General Motors, in Fremont California, where I worked in a variety of positions from clerk, to General Foreman, until I retired in 1984.
While married to Muriel Banks we had the following children.
Dennis Lee Gahaghan Elizebeth Francis Gahaghan Karen Louise Gahaghan Steve Walter Gahaghan Yvonne Kathleen Gahaghan
Dennis Lee Gahaghan married Diane Perry, from Visalia, California area. They have one child from a previous marriage "Lance".
Elizebeth Francis Gahaghan, was born with Cerebral Palsey and, weighed 1lb 12 oz. She has never married.
Yvonne Kathleen Gahaghan married Paul Jarmello. They have two children Joseph Gahaghan Jarmello, and Casey Rose Gahaghan Jarmello.
Steve Walter Gahaghan at present is unmarried. Works as a Computer Engineer.
Karen Louise Gahaghan married Michael Nicholas and they are presently living in Denver, Colorado.
After three back surgery's I was forced to retire from General Motors in 1984. Since then I was divorced from Muriel Banks Gahaghan, and remarried to Mary Lou Stephenson.
Mary Lou Stephenson was born Mary Lou Meyer, in Shawnee Kansas.
Her mother's maiden name was Florine Dobbelaere who married Edward Francis Meyer.
They had three children: Robert Meyer, Bernice Meyer, and Mary Lou Meyer.
Prior to my marriage to Mary Lou she had six children:
Mike, Mark, Greg, John. Christopher, and Scott.
That about wraps it up, to date. After my divorce from Muriel Gahaghan in 1984 I moved back to Kansas Where I met my present wife Mary Lou. We moved back to California where we presently live in Grover Beach.
I keep busy volunteering with the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Presently I work as a web-master, keeping the flotilla apprised of the changes that occur within the organization.
